Twenty-Mile is one of Nocatee's newest, rising among St. John's County's sprawling oaks. It’s a rustic, old Florida feel community comprised of many separate, unique neighborhoods and amenities, each offering homes in a variety of types and prices.
The historic “Twenty Mile House,” is the community’s centerpiece. The house was once a military outpost, and in the 1700’s, served as a way station on the trail between Spanish St. Augustine and fortified St. Johns Bluff. Spanish soldiers, mail carriers and travelers found food, rest and fresh horses here. The name “Twenty Mile” represents its location twenty miles north of St. Augustine and halfway to St. Johns Bluff and Fort Caroline.
